Good day. Today's video Word Association is on the topic of: Communion, circumcision, and baptism; when you hear these words what first comes to mind, what do you associate them with? Many today still associate these words with the law of Moses, and the baptism of John the Baptist, in which these carnal ordinances were imposed upon the children of Israel until the day of reformation and baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, but now have been fulfilled by God through the sending of his Son, Jesus Christ, who through his life, death, and resurrection (his baptism) having put to death in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances. Our communion (fellowship, association, joint participation, to communicate) is not with wafers, or grape juice, or with men and their doctrines, but it is in joint participation in the Spirit of Christ and with God our Father worshipping him in spirit and in truth. Our circumcision is not of an outward ritual imposed by men who hold to the law of commandments, but it is of the heart (Deuteronomy 10:16 & 30:6; Colossians 2:8-23), Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.(KJV); Galatians 6:12-15 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.(KJV). Our baptism is not of men, being dunked in water so that they may glory in our flesh, but it is after Christ, for we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Read Romans 6:3-11). In conclusion, when we were born again, baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire, our communion with the Father through his Son, Jesus Christ, is to be in spirit and in truth, in a new and living intimate way, through the circumcision of our heart unto Christ, buried with Christ by baptism, that is our old nature, for we are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (KJV) Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV) God cannot lie; and neither can he be tempted with evil (James 1:12-15). So how could Jesus have been God? Matthew 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. (KJV) Hebrews 2:16-18 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (KJV) Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV) Jesus was tempted in every manner as we are and yet he sinned not. He had a choice, just like we do, to follow the leading and guiding of the Spirit, Christ in him; and thank God he chose to follow Christ and not the lusts of the flesh. For in this he became both Lord and Christ; our high priest, our intercessor, our way, our truth, our life, our example, our Rock solid foundation, and most importantly, our Lord and Saviour. Jesus was the son of man; and the Son of God. The son of man referring to the likeness of sinful flesh; the Son of God referring to the image of God, who is Christ. Unto us a child was born (Jesus); unto us a son was given (Christ). So of these two one new man was made, Christ Jesus, our mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV) The Son of God, Christ, was given in the conception of Jesus of Nazareth, the son of man, born of the seed of David according to the flesh (born of a woman); and declared the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; and he is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. In this was Jesus anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, Christ in him the hope of glory. This enabled Jesus to overcome the lusts of the flesh, and of which Christ condemned sin in the flesh. Jesus said “Why call me good? There is none good but one, that is God” (Mark 10:17-18). Jesus also said to search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, but they are they which testify of me. Who? Christ in him the hope of glory. Many know him after the son of man, the fleshly man, the son of Mary and Joseph a carpenter; but few know him after the Spirit, the Son of the living God, Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. We are taking a break this week on the Son of God series of videos to address the deity of Jesus. Today's video The Deity of Jesus is on the topic of when how and Jesus became a part of the Godhead bodily. Jesus of Nazareth became a part of the Godhead when God accepted the completed sacrifice of Jesus Christ and seated him at His own right hand. Jesus lived a life without sin being led by the Spirit of Christ within him. He was tempted in every manner as we are and yet he sinned not but was obedient unto death. Daily laying down his life (he took up his own spiritual cross and followed Christ, the Word of the living God who abided within him) despising the shame and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Jesus Christ is the example we are to now live our life by. He said to eat of his flesh (lay down your life and take up your cross) and drink of his blood (follow him; led by the Spirit of Christ within you) for this example will lead you on the path of eternal life giving you strength to overcome the wicked one so that you too may be seated at the right hand of God with Jesus Christ for eternity. Colossians 2:8-12 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. (KJV) God accepted Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, a sweet smelling savor; He overcame the wicked one through faith and obedience to Christ within him and is now seated at the right hand of God forever making intercession for us. He became the firstborn among many brethren, the first begotten from the dead; He became both Lord and Christ. Jesus was a man just like you and I when he walked this earth, but when he was resurrected from the dead, having overcome death, he is now a part of the Godhead bodily. Jesus Christ our mediator who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. God bless. (KJV) Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Today's video The Son - Part2 is on the topic of who the Son of God is; the power and wisdom of God is Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus of Nazareth was born a natural man first, just as we were; he was also the first born (born again) among many brethren, having accepted God’s plan of salvation for mankind through the leading of the spirit of Christ within him and overcame the lusts and desires of the flesh, the natural man, and was made perfect through sufferings. Jesus of Nazareth died daily to the wants and desires of the flesh, allowing the power of God, Christ in him the hope of glory, to provide the strength and wisdom to overcome the flesh or natural man (the nature of sin due to the fall of the first man Adam), and resurrect him into a new creation, taking on the divine nature, the second Adam, Christ, the Lord of glory. God made this same Jesus both Lord and Christ. Lord because he overcame the natural man sold under sin; Christ because he allowed the divine nature of God to increase within him being led by the Spirit and overcame the wicked one. In Christ we have the power and wisdom of God to overcome the natural man (the nature of sin due to the fall of the first man Adam), so that we can allow the divine nature of the second man Adam (Christ in us the hope of glory), to increase and take over in our lives. Acts 10:36-38 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) 37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
